Hi, I’m Levi

I have extensive experience supporting people affected by loss, complex trauma, and significant life events through my work history with Cruse Bereavement Care, Victim Support, and Witness Service.

I understand how overwhelming life can feel and the importance of having someone who can remain present with you, even when things feel difficult or uncertain, to help you reconnect with your body.

I believe therapy doesn’t have to start and end with two people sitting in chairs; I encourage craft, movement, and your comfort. My approach is informed by my diploma in Gestalt counselling, and my undergraduate degree in art, crafts, and textiles.

I aim to provide an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed service, and I partake in continued professional development to best support my clients.

I am open about my life as a gay transgender man. I feel this is important to disclose for those looking for therapy with an LGBT+ specific therapist, however my identity isn’t what’s most important in the therapy room.

My Specialities

- Supporting people through loss, bereavement, chronic and terminal illness, caring responsibilities, experiencing traumatic life events including being the victim of crime (Reported or otherwise).

- Adverse childhood experiences, adult children of alcohol and substance dependents, former child carers of parents, and childhood sexual assault survivors.

- Your experience of religion, spirituality, how you connect with the world around you, and what may be beyond.

- Gender expression and identity, transitioning and exploration, sexuality, relationships, and other LGBTQIA+ experiences.

I have a particular interest in the many forms of loss we experience throughout life—including bereavement, changes in identity, childhood experiences, illness, relationship endings and the quieter grief of what was never received. I believe that making space for these losses can be an important part of reconnecting with ourselves.
